Product Description
Although it’s a tiny rural community, Kibbutz Magal has had one of the biggest impacts on worldwide agriculture with it’s acclaimed “Netafim” dripping irrigation systems. Magal is also producer of world-renowned olive oil manufactured from olives grown in the groves surrounding the Kibbutz. (As a side note, Magal is also home to the creator of this site, Elad Shippony.)
A visit to Magal begins with a stroll along the verdant pathways of the kibbutz, often running into a cheerful group of kindergarten kids on their daily walk. Along with intriguing kibbutz stories, Magal also offers an impressive visit to the “Netafim” plant and greenhouse park, “Masik” olive oil visitor center, and the “Tlamim” animal center for the treatment of disabled children. And, if your group has an extra hour to explore, the Kibbutz tour can include a visit to a neighboring Arab village.
This unique Israeli Kibbutz experience concludes with lunch at the communal dining hall, where a hearty portion of lively chatter is served fresh daily.
