At kibbutz Evron, which is in the Western Galilee, awaits you “Mavrhatey” – an authentic Ethiopian house built out of mud and straw, just like countless other “gojos” that are spread around Ethiopia – which will provide you with an experience that will stay with you for a long time.
“Mavrhatey”, which means “my light”, started as the initiative of a very special woman, Yonie Skiba, who, by hosting groups according to the Jewish Ethiopian tradition and values, hopes to bring people closer within the social tapestry of Israel.
