Maoz Haviv is a certified tour guide from Kibbutz Tzora.
What is really a Kibbutz? How come from the entire world the Kibbutz exists only in Israel? How did it start? When? By whom? Why? And as of today, after more than a hundred years – is the Kibbutz of today the same as it was? Is it today still a Kibbutz?
Would you like to get some answers to these questions and many many more?
I’d like to invite you to my home on Kibbutz Tzora (Biblical place of birth of Samson the hero!) between Tel Aviv to Jerusalem where I will guide you around and tell you the kibbutz story – ours as well as the story of Kibbutz in general.
If you are a smaller group – family, V.I.Ps – up to 10 – 12 people, I
will be delighted to host you first at my own home and there, while
watching a well prepared presentation, will tell you the Kibbutz
story over coffee and cake.
If you are part of a bigger group, up till a bus, of course there is no possibility for home hospitality and then I will host you in the Kibbutz members club and after watching the presentation and listening to the story I will take you to a walking tour around. And of course get you the chance to ask as many questions as you’d like.
The basic tour will include the dining room area – actually the Kibbutz center. The living area where I will point on past, present and may be future reality of living on a Kibbutz. The educational area of our children, pointing out the unique approach towards education on Kibbutz. (An approach which was researched, admired or criticized not in Israel only but by educators from around the world). We will also visit the Kibbutz services area and at the end, the dairy farm as an example to our agriculture.
There is, of course, the choice to add to the visit more elements depending on your time.
