Kibbutz Tzuba is located in the Judean Mountains, on the western outskirts of Jerusalem in the center of the country. The kibbutz, whose full name is Kibbutz Palmach Tzuba, has been blessed with spectacular scenery, nature, history and heritage.
Kibbutz Tzuba has ample attractions for children and adults alike. The kids can enjoy a full day of fun at the Kiftzuba amusement park and if they’ve still got energy, join a chocolate workshop at the Galita chocolate farm. Adults can tour and taste wine at the Tzuba Winery.
The Kibbutz Tzuba Hotel offers rural accommodation in the heart of the kibbutz, nestled in the beauty of the surrounding mountains.
Kibbutz Palmach Tzuba has a factory that produces armored, bulletproof windshields. In recent years, quite a bit of hatred and disdain has been directed towards the Kibbutzim in general. It has to do with the amount of land that belongs to the kibbutzim, but mainly because of politicians making use of hatred to collect votes and cheap popularity.
In the spirit of hope, we’d like to place a virtual bulletproof windshields in front of Tzuba in particular and the kibbutzim in general, so that those people who fire hailstones of hatred at the kibbutzim can also see, perhaps, some of its wonders.
In addition to the landscape, history and nature, Kibbutz Tzuba’s greatest blessing is the community and here is just one small example that so vividly expresses the kibbutz’s contribution to society.
A few years ago, members of Kibbutz Tzuba founded the “Birkat Reut” non profit organization, believing that a contribution to society is the basis of the kibbutz ideals. The organization works to promote equal opportunities for populations with special needs. A special activity house was established on the kibbutz, where classes, workshops, greenhouse projects and more are held. In the kibbutz vineyard, the “Children’s Island Grove,” was built serving as a challenging and educational activity complex dedicated to and accessible to people with special needs. The entire organization is run voluntarily by members of Kibbutz Tzuba and volunteers from all over the country.
We can write a lot more about Tzuba and in general about the contribution of the kibbutzim (one can also choose to put a spotlight on the less flattering sides of the kibbutz movement), but a peek at the following video is enough to understand that it’s best to remove the bulletproof windshields, extinguish the fire of hatred and bask in the spirit of the kibbutzim.
