Kibbutz Lahav was founded in 1952 and is located about 20 km north of Be’er Sheva, surrounded by the Lahav Forest. Kibbutz Lahav’s economy is based on branches of agriculture and the Dolev plastic factory, which produces almost all the green bins and recyclable bins in the country. Kibbutz Lahav also has a pig farm for research and the surplus is marketed as meat throughout the country under the “Meat from the Kibbutz” brand.
At the entrance to the kibbutz you will find the Joe Alon Center for Bedouin Culture, established with the help of members of Kibbutz Lahav.
