Kibbutz Kfar Menachem is located in the south of the Israel east of the city Kiryat Malachi. The kibbutz is named after after Menachem Ussishkin, a Russian-born Zionist leader and head of the Jewish National Fund.
Along with traditional industries such as agriculture and a metal factory, the kibbutz, which also has a large expansion neighborhood, has quite a few initiatives and small businesses. The main kibbutz attraction not to be missed is the Avenue of the Artists, where you’ll find local artist studios and shops, including a blacksmith, ceramics studio, wood art workshop, decorative wall artist, graphic design artist and others.
If the local Ussishkin pub offers a laid-back kibbutz pub atmosphere.
Finally, some women’s sports – the Hapoel Kfar Menachem handball team was the first team to win the state cup in 1960/61 (and four more consecutive trophies thereafter) and also the first team to win the national league championship in 1962/63 (and 4 consecutive championships thereafter).
