Kibbutz Givat Haim Ihud is located in the center of the country near Hadera. The kibbutz, which began as a kibbutz called “Gimel” (the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet), expanded to Givat Haim named after Chaim Arlozorv, and when the great ideological split came in 1951 it became two kibbutzim – one called “Ihud” and the other “Meuhad”.
Kibbutz Givat Haim Ihud abounds with culture, social activity, impressive sports achievements and also a great abundance of opportunities to meet this special kibbutz and the people who live in it.
After the big split, the members of both kibbutzim decided to maintain their partnership in the Gat juice factory (later Prigat) and did so with extraordinary success until the factory was acquired by Coca-Cola Israel (finally in 2018).
In the field of sports, the kibbutzim also continued to join forces and the Hapoel Givat Haim Club was, in the 1950s and 1960s, a sports “empire” of the working-class settlement. Water polo, swimming, basketball, outstanding athletes, soccer players, chess players and many more emerged from Givat Haim.
