Kibbutz Givat Brenner is the largest kibbutz in Israel (and in the world) with more than 2,500 residents. Along with the motto set by the founders: “A large and growing kibbutz”, it seems that the most substantial achievement of Kibbutz Givat Brenner is building and maintaining an active, vibrant and productive community, while still keeping the small and intimate character of a kibbutz society.
Over the years in Kibbutz Givat Brenner, cultural activity and especially music has been a focal point, including several well-known musicians who emerged from the kibbutz and the former Givat Brenner Quartet (which were sometimes a quintet or sextet because in the BIG Givat Brenner a quartet can be bigger than four).
Large music concerts are held in the events hall by the Brenner Rock productions and the Assam Pub (Barn Pub) serves cold beer and hosts from time to time slightly smaller and more intimate performances. On the barn itself, by the way, is a big wall clock – the largest in the country.
