Kibbutz Beit Nir is located in the south of Israel, near Kiryat Gat. The kibbutz’s economy is based on agriculture, a soft drink factory, and a jewelry workshop that sells its wares in Europe and the United States. The kibbutz merged with Gat and established the corporation “Ganir”, which produces fruit juice for export and sale in Israel. In Israel, the juice is sold under the brand name “Primor”.

Visit Kibbutz Beit Nir

Moshe Shek, one of the founders of the kibbutz, was a world-renowned bronze and stone sculpture. His works are displayed in Israel and around the world and the kibbutz has a museum named after him, Museum Moshe Shek, where you can visit and see a rich collection of his works. Eli Yashar, another talented artist from Beit Nir, presents his spectacular stained glass works in the kibbutz stained glass studio.

The geologist Dr. Arye Itamar established a geological site rich in stones, minerals and fossils in the backyard of his home in Kibbutz Beit Nir, where he conducts a fascinating geological tour of the structure of the earth and its history.

Finally, kibbutz member, director Uri Sivan, wrote and directed many well-know Israeli films and series. In 2011, Sivan decided to “work from home” and filmed the series “Barefoot” on the kibbutz. For the purpose of filming the series, which dealt with the kibbutz movement, many members of all ages from the kibbutz appeared as extras and a special site was built on the kibbutz that depicted the kibbutz of the 1940s.
