Meet Beerot Yitzhak members, eager to share their experiences and stories. You will find a mix of personal, engaging and unique stories from various stages in the life of the religious kibbutz, then and now.
You can choose which encounter you’d like to take part in and included is a walking tour of the kibbutz.
Hannah Baruchi, who was born in the kibbutz that was first established in the Negev will tell you about her wonderful and unique childhood story through objects and images that are milestones in the history of us all. Hannah paints the views from her home’s window and we will also get a chance to see them.
Menachem Schneur is a SFM who writes the letters in the Torah, Mezuzah and Tefillin. We will understand how to test the letters and parchment.
“Place, Name and History with a Personal Angle” with David Porat – The name “David” goes from generation to generation in David’s family without any of the Davids having known each other for three generations. David, is a historian and member of the kibbutz who was born in the Negev after his father was killed in battle. His story is accompanied by miracles that happened in battle.
Tour of the synagogue – We will take a tour with Nahum Baruchi to the top of the kibbutz here the synagogue is located, which is designed so that by design, texture and color, a sense of holiness is created immediately upon entering it.
Encounter with Gabriel Naor – “The Search for the True Religion” – Gabriel talks about the miracle that led him to convert in Hungary and what made him immigrate to Israel.
“Roga-Lach – Yeast Cakes of Yesteryear” – The visit to the kibbutz will be accompanied by a sweet moment, made by “Roga-Lach” cakes and cookies, baked as part social enterprise in the kibbutz for the elderly.
“Reptiles and Other Animals” – Aaron Gal fulfilled his own great dream and established “Zohalea” (Reptiles) – A place built with consideration to the reptiles’ comfort and convenience of visitors to learn in a fun way.
