Kibbutz Ramat Rachel is located inside Jerusalem, next to the Talpiot neighborhood on a pastoral hill overlooking the Judean Desert, Herodium, Bethlehem, the Old City and Mount Scopus. With such a location, Ramat Rachel has a fascinating history that perpetuates the determination of the settlement enterprise in the face of the challenges of the struggle for the establishment of the state. Only after the Six Day War in 1967 did the kibbutz begin to enjoy a bit of serenity as the border was removed from its fences, and over the years it became a strong and prosperous kibbutz.
