Kibbutz Eilot is the southernmost kibbutz in the world, located about 3 km north of Eilat, and overlooks the Eilat Bay, Edom Mountains, Eilat and Wadi Roded, north of the kibbutz.

The process of establishing the kibbutz began as far back as 1955, when a group of “Kibbutz Hameuchad” members settled on the shores of the Red Sea in the abandoned Um-Rashrash police station. They worked in various jobs in Eilat such as fishing, planting date orchards and cultivating land near the city in order to explore future livelihoods. At the end of November 1962, the settlement was established on its permanent site.
Kibbutz Eilot is a cooperative kibbutz and its population is diverse.
