On Saturday, October 7, 2023, the holiday of Simchat Torah, dozens of Hamas terrorists entered the territory of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak and began moving between the houses of the kibbutz with the aim of murdering its residents. The terrorists wreaked a lot of destruction and looted equipment from the houses they broke into (Nir Yitzhak Attack). According to the spokeswoman of the kibbutz, terrorists entered the houses and caused a lot of damage, but did not manage to penetrate the home bomb shelters except in two houses. After the terrorists left the kibbutz with everyone they managed to kidnap, the looters arrived at Nir Yitzhak and committed acts of destruction and looting.
